My company just laid me off. My job required that I travel most of the time, and I was required to charge the expenses on my personal card and then they reimbursed me. They have now paid me my wages, but they have not reimbursed me for my business expenses, which total a little under $3,000.00. They “said” they will pay me in a couple of weeks – but they are closing the business – so I don’t know if I will get the money. Are there agencies that I can contact to help me?

I finished my self employment tax return, on H&R block online free tax filing..
It just keep showing me that error message, and i don’t know how to fix it.. Do you know how to fix it ??…. 10 points to the first right answer..

I’m self employed and i made form 1099 .. yet i don’t file W2 for myself .. if you could help me how to fix this it will be really appreciated..
I’m 3 days trying to figure out how to fix it .. or what is wrong.. it doesn’t give me no clue …
And if there any way just to start all over again from scratch.. i mean to delete everything, and start all over.. is there any way to do that ??

Yes , I did not fill any employee buisness expenses… yet i go to schedule C.. and i did not put any employee buisness expenses…
May someone help me, with how and where this employee buisness expenses is.. so i can delete all of it ??

I used HR Block online, and it walked me through the papers automatically..
And i filled schedule C..,. i didn’t fill any employee buisness expenses.. if any body know what it is.. or how to fix the problem.. it will be great ..

I ‘ve tried clearing all forms.. and do it again ..
I didn’t use any other forms for tax expenses.. not form 2106.. I do not see it now at all.. and yet the same message ??

This is a small bus. only 10 workers. I did all the math for running a child care facility. I included everything from training, salary, broad health insurance, cleaning supplies, liability insurance, bi-yearly bonuses, etc. EVERYTHING needed to run smoothly.
My monthly remainder is $550. Is this good?
If not what should your monthly remainder be?
No Amber as I said I already did the math … which included salaries and wages. This is whats left over after everything has been paid. This is solely the business’s profit I suppose.

I am in the United States and own an online retail business that is not registered (Sole Proprietorship). It is almost 6 months old and I have made quite some profit of the business.
Right now I am in need of a new computer (I am wanting an imac and a macbook air later). How could I get these items for free as “business expenses”. I actually do need them since I am running an online website retail business and need to manage/update it. Sorry if this is a “stupid” question but i’m new to this kind of stuff.
Can anyone explain what I would need to do, how long it would take and etc? Thanks.

I am kinda confused. I am hearing alot of people tell me different things. I am a standard w2 employee that wants to file standard deduction but I have some business expenses that were not reimbursed by my company. Jackson Hewitt tells me that I can write off like milage on my car since I do so much driving for sales, and some other people tell me that I can also write off my business expenses such as cell phone and some work supplies. I am looking to do everything I can to get the max refund as possible. I do not own this business but please tell me if I can use standard deduction for my personal income as well as filing for business expenses as well.

Hello,
I am a w2 employee for a company and I just need your advise to see if I am going alittle too overboard on my deductions.
Even though I am a w2 employee and I am using “STANDARD DEDUCTION” I am allowed to write off business expenses that I was not reimbursed for during the work year.
I am going to claim roughly $1200 for my cell phone (all work related and thats a figure of 90% company usage)
About $475 for work clothing
About $600 for laptop and PDA
And about 8500 miles for non commuting miles. E.g Driving to customers houses ETC.
I made roughly $51,000 this year and I am very afraid of getting audited becouse I did not save receipts or logs so I need to know if this figure is too high and might raise a red flag for audit for the IRS. I wanted to go to you guys and ask.
