BROWNSVILLE, Texas—With friends and family still demanding justice for a Texas eighth-grader shot by police after he pointed a pellet gun at them, a neighborhood priest struck a different tone Saturday, urging teens at his funeral to learn from the experience and “get out of trouble.” The Rev. Jorge Gomez spoke in English and Spanish to an estimated 500 people who packed a Brownsville church for the funeral of 15-year-old Jaime Gonzalez. Police say Gonzalez was shot twice in the torso Wednesday morning after refusing officers’ repeated requests to drop what was later identified as a pellet gun. Gomez saved his most poignant remarks during the funeral for Gonzalez’s contemporaries. Dozens of them filled pews at the church just one block from the teen’s home and wore matching white t-shirts with his photograph on the back. The priest thanked them for their generosity — kids from the neighborhood ran a car wash to raise money for funeral expenses — and urged them to continue in that spirit. “I implore you young people, learn from this experience,” Gomez said. “It is not easy to be a teenager … but it does not last forever.” He added, “Young people, I invite you to get out of trouble. Don’t get lost.” Gomez and others have said the neighborhood is a tough place to grow up. There are many single-parent homes and some gang problems. Neither was an issue in Gonzalez’s case though, Gomez said earlier in the week. Gonzalez was a drum major at Cummings Middle School and active …

The Things I Do While Living ALONE! Back Story of Me and Tami: I Like Tami (nothing serious) personally: i believe she’s letting her face on the tv screen david blaine itself into a “pedastool” that she doesn’t need to be stepping on. It’s a slow news week so trust me. I’m not the kind of person that would devote my energy to THIS. but like i said…it’s a slow news week –and i love entertaining. as well as entertainment. Anyways. Long story SHORT. Tami publicly tweeted if anyone wanted to book her, email (a specified address) …i immediately thought about the news, (that not many people know about) which was, that her manager is currently taking her to court over expenses not paid (10% of each paycheck/episode of BBW.) so i put “booking” and “unpaid expenses” together and decided to tweet her (and Ms. Evelyn Lozada) “SIT & Pay your manager his fees” ….. well clearly, that hit a soft spot. Ms. “That Wasn’t Not Funny” Roman, because she not only optioned out to not reply, but also, Retweet my response to her (booking tweet.) When she ASSumed I didn’t have a professional photographer take recent headshots of myself, she made an *** out of me AND her. stating — “(I WILL SIT) “after you pay a photographer 4 a real headshot. GTFOH!” So, a few minutes later, I publicly sent her a tweet (containing my headshot, taken by a professional photographer) and included the last words “Knock Knock. SIT! now PAY UP! hmmph!”) So the lesson that needs to be learned, little boys and …

In May 2006, 11 year old Katie Estrella fell from her horse and suffered a spinal cord injury between her shoulder blades, which left her paralyzed from the waist down. She told her friends and family that they couldn’t stop her from riding and even though she can’t walk, Katie is now able to ride around the neighborhood and has started showing again. Katie’s family, friends and her local church have partnered to raise funds to pay for her treatment at Project Walk, an intensive exercise program in Carlsbad, CA, and Katie is working hard with hopes of regaining strength and the ability to walk again. Other clients of Project Walk with similar injuries have regained the ability to walk, and though Katie has been there only a short time, she is already making improvements such as beginning to feel muscle movement and have some control of the movement of her hips and legs. Unfortunately, Project Walk is not covered by insurance and is very expensive; costs are approximately $2200 per month. We have set a goal of raising $25000 over the next year to cover Katie’s expenses from Project Walk. With your help and Katie’s determination and dedication, SHE WILL WALK AGAIN! Thank you for your generous support!

Big players got warning ahead of time that financial broker was set to collapse Paul Joseph Watson www.infowars.com www.prisonplanet.tv Wednesday, November 16, 2011 Days before the doomed financial broker filed for bankruptcy, MF Global conducted “unexplained wire transfers” that led to a $900 million shortfall in client funds, leading customers like Gerald Celente to learn that their accounts had been looted and setting the precedent for internal bank runs as more big firms go bust. According to Bloomberg, “Examiners from CME Group Inc., the world’s largest futures exchange, found unexplained wire transfers at MF Global Inc. and a $900 million shortfall in client funds during the weekend the failing broker was talking with possible buyers, a person briefed on the matter said.” CME noticed the missing funds on October 30, but MF Global didn’t inform the Commodity Futures Trading Commission until the day after, suggesting that the transfers were made, “in a manner that may have been designed to avoid detection,” according to CME. The suspicious cash movements are now being probed by the US Justice Department. MF Global trustee James Giddens said in a court filing yesterday that customers would get back 60 per cent of their account funds, prompting fury amongst clients, many of whom used their accounts for business collateral and living expenses. Although individuals were burned by the broker’s downfall, larger clients were protected from the fallout because they had the …
