I’m using Turbotax to file for my 1040A Federal taxes. Turbotax says you can deduct job search expenses while unemployed. Does anyone know where or how you enter those? I already IMed Turbotax and they have no idea how to do it even though in the help section it says it’s possible.

When I was pregnant last year I was diagnosed by my doctor for having a medical condition that would put my baby at risk. This condition placed me at a high risk pregnancy. I had to take medications and be monitored very closely. This was very costly and during labor I had an emergency C-section. Do I qualify for itemizing these expenses?

When I started up turbo tax this year it told me that congress hasn’t passed the bill, or whatever, for people to be able to deduct school (college) expenses yet this year. Does anyone know if this is in the works or not?

I work as a police officer and am taking Krav Maga (martial arts) classes. I was wondering if the class expenses would be considered tax deductible since it is like training for my job (that’s the reason I’m taking them–to be better at my job). My job does not require the classes, so I wasn’t sure. Thanks for your help!
